味方キャラクター

Bonus

These appear after destroying certain enemies.
There are three different sizes: small, medium (*Jaleco) and large.
When collected one after another, small ones reward the player with progressively more points.
Medium ones give 48,050.
Large give 50 points if collected as is, but split into 6 small or medium items when shot.
*Jaleco items are named this due to the phonetic pronounciation of 48050 being close to that of 'Jaleco' in Japanese. So now you know!
The items are aubergines on sticks as a play on words 'boh' being stick, 'nasu' being aubergine/eggplant.

ボーナス

Name Entry

- If your score is high enough to be in the top 10, you will be able to enter your name upon game over.
- If you continue or are playing with a second player, you will not be able to enter your name.

Bonus Combo Gauge

棒ナスコンボタイムゲージ

Collecting one small bonus item within a short amount of time after collecting the previous one awards progressively more points. This time limit for maintaining this chain (1 second) is displayed via the Bonus Combo Gauge at the side of the screen.
The gauge goes down at one marker every 10th of a second and its outline changes colour when a medium (Jaleco) item will be dropped.
Below the gauge is displayed the total number of items collected and the number of medium/Jaleco items collected.

Pressing the R3 button allows the position of the gauge and counter to be repositioned to the four corners of the screen.
It can also be hidden by pressing R3 when it is displayed in the bottom right of the screen.
Pressing R3 once more moves it to the top left.
