About the Various Game Modes

ARCADE MODE+

- Choose the game mode (Normal or Time Attack) and stage you want to play using the directional buttons or left stick and use L1 and R1 buttons to select your character.

- After selecting the game mode and character, press "Game Start" to start the game.

- Normal Mode consists of 6 stages and 2 loops. Finishing the second loop completes the game.
You can also select and play stages individually too.

- Both Normal and Time Attack modes are single player only.

- Only horizontal display mode is available here.

ONLINE ENTRY

Turning this On allows you to record scores on the online leaderboard.

GAME SETTING

You can change the following settings here:

- Lives
Change the number of lives you start the game with from 3 to 5.

- Difficulty
Choose from 5 levels of difficulty.

- Auto Bomber
When turned on, a bomb will automatically be dropped just before you die to protect you.
* Only works if you have a bomb.

- Suicide Bullets
Turn bullets fired by defeated enemies on or off.

- Voice Type
Change the voice set to be used during the game.

VOICE MIX works for the following characters

Jeynus Starmine (voice: Tomokazu Seki)
Selia (voice: Mika Kanai)
Z-DYNE MkII (voice: Ryōtarō Okiayu)
Pig (voice: Akio Ōtsuka)
Momoko (voice: Hekiru Shiina)
Miki (voice: Miki Takahashi) & Misato (voice: Satomi Kōrogi)

The following characters' voices will also play at random regardless of player character.

Yuki Ito (voice: Kumiko Nishihara)
Genius Yamada (Shigeru Chiba)
Kato（voice: Masami Suzuki）
Nakamura (voice: Kumiko Ise)

- BGM Type
Change the soundtrack to be used during the game.

In Normal Mode
CLASSIC: music from the 1997 console version
ARCADE: music from the 1995 arcade version
REMIX: defaults to CLASSIC

In Time Attack
CLASSIC: music from the 1997 console version
ARCADE: music from the 1995 arcade version (TATSUJIN plays the original TATSUJIN music)
REMIX: Plays a different remixed track for each character based on their original games.

- Reset to Defaults
Change all settings above back to their defaults.

* Changing any of these settings from default will automatically turn Online Entry to Off.
* Turning Online Entry to On will change all settings back to their defaults.
